Fingertip helps you read in a foreign language: point your finger just below a word in your book, and the app reads it aloud, translates it and explains it on request.

This policy describes how the app Fingertip (“the app”, bundle ID dev.christianhoney.fingertip) handles your data. The responsible party is Christian Honey (contact: support@nrg-app.com).
The app uses the camera to recognise the text on the page and your fingertip. The camera image is analysed on the device only, at the moment it is captured. It is neither stored nor transmitted. You can withdraw camera access at any time in iOS Settings.
The app reads the rotation of the device to keep the highlight steady on the recognised word. These readings are used in memory only and are neither stored nor transmitted.
Text recognition, translation, explanation and speech use iOS features on the device (Vision, Translate, Apple Intelligence, speech synthesis). The recognised words and the surrounding text do not leave the device. iOS downloads language packs and voices from Apple when needed; Apple's privacy policy applies to these downloads.
Only your settings in the app (languages, output mode, voice, field of view, light) are stored on the device. They are removed when you delete the app.
Because the app collects no personal data, the provider holds no data about you that could be corrected or deleted. For privacy questions, contact us at the address above.
